How to make modak at home?

1. Prepare dough with rice flour, wheat flour, and ghee.
2. Prepare your desired filling. You can try different fillings like coconut, chocolate, or seasame, etc.
3. Assemble modak: flatten dough, add filling, fold, and seal.
4. Shape modak in our Modak Mould, pressing gently for a few seconds and remove it.
5. Steam for 10-15 minutes and serve as a bhog.

How do you make Modaks from chocolate or chocolate compounds?

Ingredients:

• Chocolate compounds (dark, milk or white).
• Optional fillings: Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, dried cranberries, cherries, blueberries, cinnamon, cardamom, chili powder, chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, salted caramel, toffee, etc.
• Modak Moulds or Modak Sacha
• Chocolate Colour (optional)
• Chocolate Flavour (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the chocolate filling:

• Melt the chocolate compounds in a microwave or double boiler, stirring occasionally until smooth.
• If desired, add your chosen filling ingredients to the melted chocolate and mix well.
  
  

2. Shape the modak:

• Grease the modak moulds with a small amount of melted chocolate.
• Pour the chocolate mixture into the moulds, filling them to the top.
• Tap the mould gently on plain surface to remove air bubbles.
  
  

3. Refrigerate:

• Place the filled modak moulds in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  
  

4. Serve:

• Carefully remove the modak from the moulds and serve bhog in our Modak Boxes.
